A sparkling Christmas spider to hang on the tree or in a sunny window. You build the body on a single eye pin, wrap four wires into eight legs, then bead four long legs and four shorter middle legs in festive pink, purple and white. A silver chain and a 20 mm prism turn it into a suncatcher that scatters color all around the room. Legend says finding a spider on your tree brings good luck — this one you make yourself.

– 0.6 mm (22 gauge) white craft wire, about 1.5 m (59 in) — cut into 4 × 20–25 cm (8–10 in) lengths for the legs
– One 16 mm Christmas round bead — the body
– One 8 mm pink round bead — the head
– One eye pin, 30–35 mm (1.2–1.4 in)
– Two flower bead caps — to frame the body bead
– Eight 8 mm oval beads — one at the top of each leg
– 48 × 4 mm pink bicone beads — the legs
– About 50 white tube beads — the legs
– 16 purple cone beads — the leg joints and tips
– 40–50 flat spacer beads — the connectors
– One 14 mm hexagon crystal and one 20 mm round prism crystal — the hanging drop
– 35 cm (14 in) of silver chain, 4 small and 5 large jump rings
