The wire technique is the same in both — head and arched body on one wire, the segmented tail that sweeps upward, then eight jointed legs and two pincers, with a crimp bead at each joint so the legs bend and stay put. What changes is the bead map: which beads go on each leg, and in what order. So learn it once in the color you love most, and the other is simply a re-bead. That's why the bundle is the best value.

You will need… (exact quantities and sizes are listed inside each PDF)
– Black craft wire, 0.5–0.6 mm (24–22 gauge)
– One 8 mm round bead — the head
– One 12 mm rhinestone-studded bead — the body
– Small metal flower caps — to frame the beads
– One 8 mm oval bead — the tail end (plus one more per claw tip)
– One cone-shaped bead — the tail tip
– 6 mm and 4 mm round and cone beads — for the tail, legs and claws
– Tube beads (bamboo beads) — for the segmented legs
– 1.5 mm metal crimp beads — for the leg joints
– Leg and accent beads — this is where the colors differ; each PDF has its own full list

– Wire cutters (an old pair of scissors you don't mind nicking will do in a pinch)
